If you havent gazed into Finkl Steel doors at night, it is a sight to see. A fiery inferno of molten steel, fire, cranes the size of a house pulling and lifting giant cauldrons if red hot liquid fire, men prodding the fire, piles of dust, and low ominous droning of machinery. ITS FUCKING COOL!

GIRLS ROCK!!

Last summer I taugh self defense class to the girls rock summer camp. http://girlsrockchicago.org/
I must say, I was told originally I was teaching 20 girls, but as the day grew closer, the other self defense teachers cancelled, thus I ended the sole one standing and taught 100 girls the workshop. It ended up being piles of fun and the girls were inquisitive, asked a ton of questions, they wanted to know more. This camp is amazing for girls to be empowered through music and other activities that the camp has scheduled. I noticed that this year, the girls not only can learn how to be in a band, but there is a DJing course (I secretly want to participate in this camp)
Heres a little clippy of that!

Directed and Produced by Sarah Moshman, for more information on the full length short documentary about Girls Rock! you can email sarah.moshman@gmail.com or check out the IMDB page at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1642216/
The full documentary will air on PBS this summer
